Act-On Beacon cookie question

We've chosen not to use the Act-On cookie privacy pop-up because we have 3rd party cookies that need blocking (& also because it's ugly!).

I'm using Cookie-Script, which seems quite good for everything but Act-On. If a visitor opts out of cookies on the home page, the A-O beacon cookie is deleted. But as soon as the user navigates to another page, the cookie is re-placed.

If I could wave my magic wad to fix this, I'd wish for a way to drop the equivalent of an ao_optout cookie so this doesn't happen. Has anyone explored this as an option? Is there any way to do this? Thanks.

I'm happy to say that we have recently released an enhancement and associated How-To guide in the community which should satisfy your need. The guide will walk you through the process of setting up a cookie consent message which matches your desired branding and experience and using Google Tag Manager to selectively place cookies and track user behaviors on Act-On assets like landing pages and your other web properties. Better yet, this solution makes it easy to tie all of your other tracking and cookie-placing tags to a single preference selection.

I hope you find this solution helpful and I look forward to your feedback.

    Thanks,
